About
My research centers on the relationship between consciousness and society. I have devoted my scholarly energies to understanding how human subjectivity and cultural and political forms mutually determine each other. More specifically, I seek to illustrate how political, religious and scientific truths attain validity for modern subjects. I am currently pursuing these investigations in two book projects, the first of which explores the question on a theoretical level in European social theory, whereas the second connects theory to empirical reality in the context of neo-Islamism in Turkey.
