About
I studied Philosophy and Literature at Università degli studi di Torino with Professor Giorgio Ficara. After my "laurea" (summa cum laude and "dignità di stampa") I joined the Ph.D Program in Romance languages and literatures at the University of Chicago. I have worked on Gadda and Proust and the XX cent. European Novel. I am currently working on the contemporary European novel. My focus is on politically engaged writings that blur genres boundaries between fiction and nonfiction.
Dissertation Committee: Prof. Rebecca West, Prof. Paolo Cherchi, Prof. Justin Steinberg.
Among others, I have published articles on Mario Equicola ("Rinascimento"), Gadda ("Lettere Italiane"), Manganelli ("Studi Novecenteschi"), the intersection between literature and ethics ("Raison Publique"), and the "Hybrid Novel" today ("Modern Language Notes").
I taught several courses of Italian language and a Survey of Italian literature at the University of Chicago.
