About
My principal research interests involve applying recent work in cognitive science (especially that done by cognitive linguists and cognitive psychologists) to various problems confronted by music scholars, with a particular focus on music theory and analysis. My current research project involves laying out the groundwork for a cognitive grammar of music, a project with which a number of recent articles and chapters in edited books are concerned. The project will culminate in a book-length study that I hope to complete in the next few months.
Versions of all of my publications (save my 2002 book) are available through my Website. Pre-publication versions of chapters and articles are available here as well.
